    Good questions deserve clear answers

    Before you
    make a change.

Understand what treatment can do—and what to ask before choosing a system.

Does clear water mean clean water?

No. Appearance alone cannot identify dissolved contaminants or microorganisms. A water analysis helps determine which treatment, if any, is appropriate.

Is a softener also a water filter?

A conventional ion-exchange softener reduces hardness minerals. It is not a universal filter. Filtration and disinfection address different concerns and may require separate treatment.

Do city water and well water need the same approach?

No. Municipal supplies and private wells have different monitoring and treatment needs. Well owners should use appropriate laboratory testing, including for bacteria and locally relevant contaminants.

What should I ask about a system?

Ask for the exact model, its independently certified reduction claims, required flow rate, installation requirements, warranty, and total ongoing costs. Certification applies to specific claims, not every possible contaminant.

What does the free water test include?

Everpure Homes offers an in-home test and consultation. Confirm which parameters are measured, what is included, and whether additional lab testing is recommended when you book.

    How much maintenance is involved?

It varies by system and water quality. Ask about cartridge or media replacement, salt use, regeneration, membrane service, and recommended performance checks.
